So, I’m super excited about this new form of memory keeping for me. I started digital scrapbooking in 2006, but have recently struggled in keeping up in my scrapbooking. I had been interested in Project Life, but thought it would be too overwhelming to try to document every day. Then one day, I started listening to podcasts on my commute, and was inspired by one of The Digi Show episodes. I realized I could adapt the Project Life system to whatever I wanted, and I soon took the plunge and bought an album, page protectors, and the Fifth & Frolic core kit. Pretty soon, I had two more core kits, a Studio Calico subscription, and a slew of Thickers and embellishments. I was hooked.
That was in April, and I decided to start documenting from the start of 2014. My first completed spread was from January 3rd, we spent the day snow tubing, and I knew that I needed a two-page spread to include all the fun pictures that I wanted to. I am taking more of an event-based approach, roughly divided by month, with a few spreads that are random photos within the month that I want to include. I love that I am now finally able to hold a physical copy of my digital pictures, and also get a chance to play with fun paper and embellishments.
So far I have a total of three completed spreads, with three more that are almost done. I am almost finished through April, and the rest of the spreads have the photos in, but I haven’t gotten started on the cards yet. More Project Life to come soon, when I get to photograph my other spreads!
