Wow, I sure have a lot to catch up on. So many more vacation days I didn’t blog about (including meeting up with Tita Bess & Tito Ding in DC!), so many photos to download, so much email and blog posts to catch up on, and so much laundry and cleaning up to do!
I’ve been quite tired lately though, and don’t find my time in front of the PC as relaxing as I typically did. So I stay away, which is a real change of pace for me! I find myself preferring to be horizontal, as in lying on the couch or on the bed. And the best form of entertainment in that position is reading a book.
Luckily I discovered the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, nothing too heavy, but still engrossing and intriguing. Poor Dennis, I don’t think he’s seen me so sucked into a different world before. But that’s just how I get when I read fiction. I spent most of the weekend in a world of vampires and werewolves and romance. Once in a while I’d come up for air and give him sporadic updates on what was happening. At 7pm last night, I bet him I would finish the last novel of the series before midnight. I lost the bet though, and Dennis was snoozing away beside me before I ended at 2am.
Now I find myself wanting more. Anyone know of more good fantasy series out there to recommend?
